  • The man on the far right at 1:39 is my uncle. My Dad and he both fought the Korean War. my Dad was at Chosin and was oe of the Chosin Few. Semper Fi! Stay warm and dry!

  • @NephilimFree I posted on your page also, but I'll do it again. What was your Uncle's name? There are first names on the backs of some of the pics. Let me know if you'd like a copy and I can email it to you.

  • @shadow0dancer His name is Don (or John?) Phillips. If that's him in the picture, I would ejoy having a copy. Thanks! If not, thanks anyway!

  • @NephilimFree the only names on the back of the pic look like nick names. It says Dunn, Dolly and Coutie. If you want a copy my email is shadowdancer12@hotmail.com. Just let me know.

  • My dad was 15 when he signed up. Lied about his age too. I can't imagine my dad going through this hell. He came back with frozen feet, and bad hearing. He'd never let you know though. Not ever a complaint from him, but I knew he was in pain, especially as he aged. R.I.P. daddy. <3 God Bless our soldiers then and now. :)

  • Yes from the stories I heard it must have been terrible in many respects. The freezin temps alone would have done it for me. Thanks for the reply....

  • Some people work an entire lifetime and wonder if they ever made a difference to the world. But the Marines don't have that problem.

  • @shadow0dancer its kind of disgrace that these days, americans are racist to south korea even though they helped their ass in vietnam and afghan operation peace.
