From the Valdosta EP

I do not own anything.
LYRICS:
I had a dream last night we
Drove out to see Las Vegas
We lost ourselves in the bright lights
I wish you could have seen us
Begging for change to get home
Or at least San Francisco
Let's put a ten on the high card
And spend a summer on the west coast

Down and to the left
(Here's a map and the pen, the place you pointed at)
Be California's best
(All I ask, all I ask)

And please don't tell me that I'm dreaming
When all I ever wanted was to dream another sunset with you
If I roll over when it's over
I'll take this Cali sunrise with me
And wake up with the fondest memories

We made love by the ocean
As the waves crashed around you
Sunsets never were so bright
And the skies never so blue
You opened up into my arms
And we laughed as I held you
I'll never go back to Georgia
Not at least till I have to

Down and to the left
(Here's a map and the pen, the place you pointed at)
Be California's best
(All I ask, all I ask)

And please don't tell me that I'm dreaming
When all I ever wanted was to dream another sunset with you
If I roll over when it's over
I'll take this Cali sunrise with me
And wake up with the fondest memories
Memories

I had a dream last night we
Drove out to see Las Vegas
We lost ourselves in the bright lights

Please don't tell me that I'm dreaming
When all I ever wanted was to dream another sunset with you
If I roll over when it's over
I'll take this Cali sunrise with me
And wake up with the fondest memories

We made love by the ocean
As the waves crashed around you
Sunsets never were so bright
And the skies never so blue
You opened up into my arms
And we laughed as I held you
I'll never go back to Georgia
Not at least till I have to

Down and to the left

  • So, i was looking at the description for the video, and it says,

"You wore the red shirt that I love.

I sang the song that I wrote you.

We laughed our way down the beaches,

As we danced around the issue."

I'd like to know where that is located in the song, your help would be appreciated. :O

  • @Guthrietastic Oh I just realised that, that part is in there. There's two versions of Jamie All Over, (excluding this one) the non- acoustic one on the A Lesson in Romantics has that part of the song.

  • @kingdomkeygirl that part of the verse isnt from a lesson in romantics, its in the first release of that song which was on tales told by dead friends im pretty sure. great song though thans for uploading

  • @NeverLookBackDrummer I dont even know now, but the versions I have on my iTunes just say A Lesson in Romantics.

  • @kingdomkeygirl ok let me clear this up, on the ORIGINAL lesson in romantics, (doesnt have new version of when i get home your so dead), it also has the original of jamie all over which said that line but some songs were remade and replaced in the album

  • @1pwnage99demon May I ask why you're telling me something that I already know?

  • his voice<3 mmmmm

  • @1pwnage99demon It wasn't on A Lesson In Romantics. Jason Lancaster was in a band called A Kid Named Chicago that merged into Mayday. In their version of Jamie All over is where there are extra lyrics.

  • @kingdomkeygirl Not that it matters now, but it IS off the EP, not ALIR. Thanks for the upload of this though!:D

  • My name is Jamie ;D I definitely tell people Mayday Parade wrote this song for me :) ♥

  • @Guthrietastic Those lines are from the original song, which was written by Jason Lancaster's old band Kid Named Chicago. (There is also a version from the KNC when they were still known as The Last Try.)
