Britain's Got Talent! This shortened rendition of "Antmusic" was performed live on the British Royal Variety Performance, on the 29th November 1981. There was a medley of artists at the end of the show, playing shortened versions of their hits; the Ants were sandwiched between The Searchers and Cliff Richard.

I remember pestering my father to watch this. He allowed me, afterwards his comment was, and I remember it as clear as anything "fucking load of crap"

There was another 'Royal Variety Performance' when Kevin Mooney so memorably threw his bass away and exited the stage three quarters of the way in to the song. The tabloids the next day were full of it, with one even stating that the Queen's safety had been at risk! It was proper dramatic and almost subversive in the true sense - has anyone got the footage, could they post it up?

Wow, Adam and the Ants performing at the Royal Variety. Can't imagine the present-day musical likes of N-Dubz doing that these days!

Can't wait to see him live. He's a legend that still rocks a great look n sound. The 80s rock as does prince charming can't wait to see him next month. Antmusic for sexpeople x x

Yes, this video is all over Youtube isn't it. It's like that Rick Astley number with it's high level of commonality. You can't move for Adam and the Ants live at the Royal Variety Show, it's absolutely everywhere.
