Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease - partial blockage of a coronary artery - caused the death of Dale Solly, according to a report issued by the Baltimore medical examiner's office. The Channel 7 weekend news anchor collapsed and died at his Silver Spring home on 4/27/02. He was 53.

The nine network had essentially the same logo as WTOP in the late 70s, and seven had this version of the WMAL/WJLA logo, a weird coincidence!
