60163 'Tornado' & 34067 'Tangmere' Visit The West Country - 5th July 2009

July 5th saw the start of the Torbay Express season with newly built peppercorn class A1 Tornado at the head of the trains till mid August.
This being the first Torbay I decided to go down to Whiteball to see how Tornado handles the bank.
I would like to say this summer I wont only be filming the Torbays at Whiteball I shall be filming at new places for example Dawlish! (Place always wanted to film)

We then move near the Somerset and Devon Border to see Battle of Britain 34067 Tangmere on the Cathedrals Express from London to Exeter.
We see Tangmere on my local Mainline near Chard Jcn at Axe Crossing with the outward run to Exeter. The around 3 hours later we go to Broom crossing just down the track from Axe crossing to see 34067 with the light movement to Yeovil for turning on the Turntable.

Tangmere was shifting in both directions there. Tornado didn't seem to be going too fast, I thought. Maybe it's just because it isn't as noisy as a King, say.
