Alternative High School - Sports High School for Athletes - Windells Academy

"The best sporting school around." KPTV reports from Mount Hood Medows where Tim Windell has created a unique alternative to traditional schooling and sports camps. Tim's school, Windells Academy, was a snowboarding camp, but now it combines real high school education, offered by Kaplan Virtual Education, with professional ski and snowboarding training. His snowboarding camp and classes are world renowned and the list of Olympians he has trained is long and plentiful, including Shaun White and Sammy Carlson. By utilizing Kaplan's flexible online high school program, students of Windells Academy are able to receive professional snowboarding and skiing training at Windells' camp during the morning and then do school work in the afternoon with self-paced online courses.
