@bin952 wondered why all too many pump manufacturers fit either sealed bearings or greased bearings in their housings. it is only a mater of time before one starts to get bearing failure then mech seal leakage.. which degrades the bearings by retrofitting same into an oilbath surely would be the way to go therby giving seriously longer production life and less down time i guess someone in a drawing office thought that these pumps wouldn't require any preventitive maintenance inspections....
