Galina Ponomaryova, a visually impaired journalist from Donetsk, Ukraine, was finally able to retire her old typewriter after receiving training in computer skills for visually impaired people at her local library. This allowed Galina to make use of her full potential as a writer and publish a book. The library is still a place for gathering of the visually impaired training participants. The library was equipped with computers and software for visually impaired people as part of the Internet Access and Training Program (IATP) implemented by IREX and funded by the US Government. This video is produced by Bibliomist, a project dedicated to expanding free internet access to the citizens of Ukraine through public libraries.
