Woodstock Weekend continues on the podline66 channel-This song was performed at Woodstock, but sans the classic flute breaks, which were replaced by blistering guitar licks that summer day. Many people think that Bob "Bear" Hite (the heavyset bearded singer in the band) sang this.. In fact, It was the somewhat stoic Alan Wilson, the main writer of the band, who sang this, and the classic "On The Road Again" as well. John Lee Hooker called him 'the best damn harp (harmonica) player ever'. Regardless, his death by suicide at the age of 27 (there's that age again..) robbed the world of an unsung musical genius.. I honor him this Woodstock Weekend.. Peace and Love to all...
Larry....I listen to this song everyday for one reason....I love it...The beat of the music, the sound of your voice, and the value it adds to my life, as does all your music....This has such a great beat, love all the other sounds here, love the tie-dye shirt and my favorite guitar to boot...Your channel is in a word...CLASS:)...ione marie
