Deadly camera crash Sprinter
Sunday morning Dec20 2009 terrible accident happen.
My camera mounted inside of underwater case fail a part and smashed with a van back wheel.

Fish-lense DCL-20 was attached to a housing by thread. Fish lenses was a heavyset part of a camera and mounted on a special bracket near front wheel.

During bridge climb thread fail a part. First Ive seen fish lenses rolling on parallel line, then small explosion under back van wheel. Fortunately it was not much trafic early morning. I was able to collect some wrecked parts from a road and took pictures with phone-camera.

You replied back quickly. Let me know what you thought of your sprinter. Was it reliable and could you count on it. Hear a lot of different things about them. Thinking of investing in one someday.

Also how long did you own it?

It has 20mpg on HW. The only prob I had; after 2years change a battery.

Put a camera out their and you deserve it breaking. The video is way to long and needs to just get to the point. The girl singing destroyed a song that wasn't that good in the first place. I'm glad to see that you were alright.

any U-housing what may be rated to 100m + ?

Previoce expirience with Eq-SanyoHD100 = I do NOT needed so many buttons on housing. To operate a camera I NEED = Power ON/OFF and video-pictures ON.

So mainly 3 buttons NEEDED.

Oh, man! What a terrible accident -- the camera and the casing was smashed to little pieces!

Well, I will share with you that If I do not get a housing for the HD1000 I will probably get a GOPRO HD camera for my scuba. They came with the wide angle and the housing up for 60m/180ft!

Maybe you should check it out too because it sells for a little more than 260 on Amazon and you will have a replacement for your diving camera/housing in no time and for a fraction of the price.

HSD card is OK, but camera did not complite the last file into a records. It is (file) still there. I am digging internet for the best program "File Recovery". If you or anybody have/has an expirience with file-recovery =ADVISE very VELLCOME.

Is the SD card destroyed? The camera should record to that first.
