( LYRICS WITH TRANSLATION) The Original song was sung by Amir Bai Karnatki and Arum Kumar in the movie "Kismat" (1943) for Mumtaz Shanti and Ashok Kumar. This gem was written by Pradeep and composed by Anil Biswas. "Kismat" (1943) was a landmark movie in the annals of Hindi cinema. This was the first multi starrer movie in the Hindi film industry. Its songs were hugely popular.
Lata ji with her melodious voice has given a new life to the song through Shraddhanjali (A Tribute to Great Singers). I have created video Lata ji's version with my favourite couple Madubala and Dilip Kumar.
