Clan Destiny at The Pie Ranch Barn Dance

Once again Clan Destiny heads out for another adventure, this time in our own back yard, at the famous Pie Ranch, in Pescadero, CA. Every month the Ranch throws a barn dance for the community, and boy was it rocking this night!!

While enveloped in the energy and excitement of the dance, I was imagining how this was where it was at for generations of our ancestors, before computers, TV, radio, movies..

You really get to know your community much more viscerally at an event like this, where neighbors have a physical presence to them, as you dance and perspire with each other through the night. It reminded me a bit of the dance in the film, Back to the Future 3, where Doc Brown falls in love..

I got so sweaty I had to hang out outside for awhile, to dry off. That's when I pulled out the iPad, and Sun and I started modeling the square dance with a new program, The Art of Glow. (Thanks, Damon!) You'll see these amusing fruits of our iPad labor, sprinkled through this vid.
