BC Children's Hospital - Young Superhero Orientation Session

AX3 joined the live action of Young Superheros in training at the BCCH this past October.

On a sunny weekend afternoon, when most kids could be playing video games or sleeping in, the Child & Family Research Institute at BCCH was swarming with young people eager to learn the fundamental skills of young heroism: how to ask strategically for donations, how to conduct oneself with confidence, and how to overcome the fear of rejection.

Over 100 youth are doing this year through Operation Superher0, a 3-year fundraising initiative of Vancouver's Chinese-Canadian community. The goal? To raise $5 million for the construction of an Oncology Inpatient Unit at the new BC Children's Hospital.
