    For all those interested in Art Nouveau I strongly recommend the book "Art Nouveau" by Stephen Escritt published by Phaidon Press. It is a wonderful introduction. One of the points Mr. Escritt elaborates is that although Art Nouveau was a new art for a new century, it's indebted to the developments of previous and contemporary artistic movements.
