I actually thought the same thing. The cat is undeniably cute but I have to wonder if they withheld food from it to make it hungry and then it was essentially forced to eat like that. As you say, I imagine that is uncomfortable the cat. I'm all for cuteness, but not at the expense of making the animal uncomfortable.
