true, but it still should have been called in the first place. it was an insanely obvious penalty on a td scoring play with HUGE magnitude in an afc championship game.

meanwhile ravens fans are crying foul about a scoreboard reading 3rd down.

if you aren't acutely aware of what down it is in that situation, and you aren't using your timeout if you don't like what you see, then you have much bigger problems then a broken scoreboard.

It was a stiff arm and It's only a penalty on the offense if he twists the defensive player's helmet (which he didn't do)

Ok all of you are complaining about the refs not saying anything after they reviewed it, that is because they can't go back and call a penalty. They don't see a penalty live there is nothing they can do about it.

@66SiK Everyone watching this game saw it including the Ravens fans ( sound of crickets ) the commentators and the refs. That should not have been a TD it should have been called back with a 15 yard penalty.

I didn't even care who won that game... until this happened. I can't believe they reviewed the play and still didn't say anything about the obvious facemask

thank you for putting this up! i was pissed about the call but i was even more pissed when they completely ignored the face mask!! the play even went under review, so there shouldn't be any excuse from the refs for not calling that. that touchdown should never have counted! the ravens played a dirty game (twisting up the Gronk(!) and trying to beat up all the smaller guys). even though they weren't 100%, if shit got called like it should have then the pats would have won by a whole lot more.

I was pissed... they wouldn't have scored that touchdown... so it would never have come down to that field goal... don't blame the game on one player, the patriots beat the ravens, there a lot of players on a team
