My new Dillon 550b in action. Loaded 40 rounds in less than 6 min. That is a rate of 400+ rounds an hour.
It is hard to verify if there is powder in a rifle case when reloading on this press, so please make sure you check your cases after they are loaded by shaking them and listening for a powder charge.
Good Luck
What did you do for your case prep prior to running them thru the press? What brass did you use? It seems to me that running cases is the easy part but the case prep on .223 is where you spend most of your time...eh?

Do you use any case lube, and how hard was it to set up the die with the shouldered case?
I have the 550 and have loaded thousands of 9mm, 45acp, 38, 357 an 44mag. but not the 223.

@carney182 & jessieR04084 - Yes the 4th die in the set is a crimp die. Crimping a .223 helps it feed better in some semi auto rifles

Good video man. I'm thinking about getting this setup. Just out of curiosity (and you don't have to share if you prefer not to) but how much did this setup cost? Including the dies (dunno if that's the correct spelling). Thanks!

@carney182 someone correct me if I'm wrong, I think it is for recrimping

what is the last die for? the one after the bullet seater.

We put a small light shining directly into the case so we can visually look inside every case prior to putting a bullet on it. It's straight-forward with pistol cases but a small neck like .223 you gotta look close.

so cleaning and reaming the primer pocket isnt really needed? Obviously its not done here

@rioaguanegra If you plan to start bulk reloading there is no use getting a single stage. You'll outgrow it in a month.
