Lilium (song)

Lilium is the opening theme song for the anime Elfen Lied. It is based on several biblical passages and the hymn Ave mundi spes Maria (Hail Mary, Hope of the World) in Latin (and a couple of words in Greek). The lyrics and melody are authored by Kayo Konishi and Yukio Kondou, after being requested to make the song like a Gregorian chant, and was performed by Kumiko Noma.

im not a fan of anime but when i saw the first episode i couldnt stop watching

and one of the things which led me to that was the intro song. i love it

I remember what got me watching Elfen Lied... I heard the MOKA version of Lilium on "Anime's saddest moments" or something xD IT was the first anime I've ever watched and I still think it's the best

first when i this anime i skip the intro ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i quit the anime when i saw do killing ,,,,,,,,,,but when i saw on youtube best anime opening i saw it again in i like the opening i tried watching it again i loved this anime it has everything social alienation, identity, prejudice, revenge, abuse, jealousy, regret and the value of humanity.........love it cant wait 2 learn how to sing this in play it 2 thank u so much.............amazing animes this is ones
