Ohio bald eagles-flying, nesting by heron nests (07.04.30)

This nesting pair of eagles was photographed in central Ohio. The nest is by a river. In the beginning of the video, the female is seen on her nest in a tree. She looks around as she incubates her eggs.

The male then flies over the nest and lands in a tree. The female may have looked at him. He landed in a nearby tree over the river and appears to be watching it for food. The river is swollen and muddy.

The two eagles are full-grown and both have the white heads of mature eagles.

The scruffy things in the tree beside the eagle nest are great blue heron nests. This had been a nesting spot for the herons. Then the eagles moved in. They would eat heron eggs and young. The herons moved their rockery elsewhere and farther from the river.

recently there was another family of bald eagles filmed in my hometown of logan ohio, in south east ohio...sooo exciting

I did not know you had eagles in Ohio. How exciting! I live in Monroe WA. We have several in my area and I never get tired of watching them. What a gift;)

this was down in chilo/higginsport area on the ohio river, my step sister and her husband own a river house there... i remember these birds
