But... if a 6V92TA was in fact used on this chassis, then it would have to be custom-built to accommodate this engine size.

They looked ood, too bad these trucks have been replaced
-
Remember when the fire fighters would ride in open cab and the other firefighters would hang on back during blizzards ?

@retroolschool Yea it almost sound strange to say there some smart people in here

@MrFWDSeagrave These people don't know a god damn thing about engines. They have some stupid love affair with trying to identify a diesel engine. Fucking fail.
-
@RDG484 Who gives a fuck? Go find a different hobby besides trying to identify a fucking chunk of metal.
-
It has powerful wheels and snow tires

Nice machines

Very nice rig! They dont make 'em as solid as this anymore!
Then again the more I listen to it the more I think it's a 6V-92. I don't hear that familiar tenor-pitched whine that you normally get with a 6V-53. NOT complaining, though. but for the record if it IS a 6V-92 that's the first one I've seen in this type of truck chassis.

Im quite impressed by all you guys technical knowledge of these Detroit Diesels! You see I thought it was a V8, but this is where youtube is also very informative...comments left from smart viewers.
