Yea the Old Testament was pretty rough... but we are not in the Old Covenant times, but rather the New.

I'll "spare" you from any other details for I know you do not care at this time, but I'll just say that God is real, He does love you very much and He has made peace with you... even though you do not believe in Him.

You'll see one day that God is not the "tyrant" that you think He is... nor that most of mainstream Christianity has made Him out to be!

If God is all-merciful, why would there be a Hell?

Everything you know is not from evidence, but rather from those that have taught you.... Much of Christianity is the same way and hence why the teaching of hell still exists.

Long story short version, "hell" does not exist in the sense it has been taught, too long a story to describe here....

Re: why God doesn't prove Himself... He does, but not in a physical sense... If you'd like too... just ask Him to make Himself real to you.

I know sounds weird, but just try it... :)

And when I was taught, evidence was provided. Christianity, as well as every other religion out there, provides absolutely no evidence.

Hell is an abominable idea, and God is an evil tyrant if he agrees with the idea of Hell.

I have asked him to prove himself. Many times. Every single time, the same thing happens: I end up feeling like an idiot for having talked to the air.
