  • This woman is a bit clueless. The parial range motion that she recommends provides you with partial results.

    By pulling the band back as far as possible, you a better training effect is evoked. More muscle fibers are called into play and you develop more flexibility.

  • release? No, you need to keep an eccentric focus and immediately, engage neurologically to go back into a concentric motion, "release" is not what you want at the end of the movement unless you are done.
