Roundhouse Lady Anne "Blackbird" blasts up the notorious 1 in 30 Rock Lane spiral on the Edgmond Light Railway, with the last passenger train of the day. The loco is fitted with a slightly modified version of Chris Bird's Summerlands chuff pipe, which has been built from Chris's drawings by Dave Evans of Edgmond Loco Works. She now makes quite a row!

  • sounds brilliant No doubt we will get complaints at exhibitions that our sound systems are too loud!

  • Excellent !

  • brilliant!

How did you modify the chuff pipe?

  • That's an excellent sounding machine! And what a gradient! I really should have created a spiral on my line, to avoid my 1 in somethingridiculous grade!
