Hmm... other than the fact that in the 90's he could easily hit another octave and he "sounded" half his size almost like his vocal chords have grown as much as his body. In musical terms his voice got "warmer" and less "bright" when we're talking about instrument filters.
You really want to hear it? Listen to 3 tracks off of pretty hate machine and then put in year zero. You can even hear it studio-wise.

Rockers wear out their vocal instruments. When you're hoarse and you strain your vocal chords, your voice sounds deeper. Eventually your voice sounds generally more haggard. It takes a lot of care to extend the life of your voice with certain types of vocals, and I'm not talking coloratura. Yelling and screaming wears you out. Who knows what long term changes/damage he's incurred over the years.

No, the last NIN concert was in LA, specifically at The Wiltern, (which I was also in attendance of.) This performance was from the final *Lights in the Sky* tour show.
