@golfer393 if you rub the apple around the opening of the trap, the animal will bite or lick the front and make the set trigger

@gootch420 ... Use old wood if possible. If you use an apple, make sure you rub the apple around the door opening.

Did you catch anything yet? sometimes human scent can scare away animals, Often times modern wood uses glues and so forth, that are not found in nature and so there smell can make animals wary too

hey I made one of these live traps the other day and I havent caught a thing.
Ive been using peanutbutter, nuts, lettuce, and carrots for squirels and rabbits but nothing!!!
any tips?

@gootch420 I would try setting the trap in a place with lots of animals. lol. hope this helps.
