The Gilman Scholarship awards up to $5000 a semester for studying abroad, with possible additional $3000 for studying a critical need language to the US. I had the opportunity to study in Seoul, South Korea with the financial assistance of the Gilman Scholarship, and had such an amazing adventure. I learned so much from my experience, and I hope that more students will have the opportunity to do the same.

Hey bloc22! It's so much fun to study abroad! I'm afraid that I didn't get to go to the Goong beach, although there's lots of other wonderful beaches, like the one you saw on my video. JazzyXEdward and livia2081, there are some scholarships out there for studying abroad, especially in Asia, and more if you want to study an Asian language! so don't give up hope! i college, I think there are more scholarships for studying abroad then in high school. I never studied abroad in high school, but college was a great time to go. God bless!

Just wanted to let you know I found your video while searching for the Gilman Scholarship (on yt, oc). This was a great idea! I really appreciate you giving us a glimpse of your experiences in Korea.

I'm planning on applying for the scholarship; hopefully, I'll be able to spend a year in Japan. But I also got into K-pop recently, so maybe when I'm over there, I'll sneak over to Seoul for a bit! Haha.

thank you for taking the time to comment! I'm glad I could be am ambassador of some sorts for the Gilman Scholarship. Since you're staying for a year, apply for the critical language scholarship too if you're planning to study Japanese.

Do come over to Seoul if you have the chance. Shopping there can be quite fun. After my study abroad experience, I decided to come back to Korea, so here I am in Jeju-do. I hope you get the scholarship and that you'll have a wonderful time abroad.

@kanpekilove OMG!!!! I didn't know you replied back..... I just pick this video and I didn't know I watch this 6 months ago. Me and my friend are planning to go to South Korea through the Sagong Korean Imerrsion program. We both are trying to raise $2,000 plus spending money for exchange trip next summer. The schalorship you use, is it to pay for any exchange program or is it a scholarship through their own program??? Do you understand what I am trying to say???

It's my dream to study abroad in Korea. It'd be awesome to go to the same beach from princess hours! (Awesome show and I'm a dude) lol I plan on going to Penn State after I finish two years of community college since they have a good study abroad program. I can't wait! I'm busting my ass right now lol
