I've always had the problem where the clay gets too soft from the heat given off by my hands and I end up destroying a section of my work

@TheSladjanna Then watch the second video. This one says "One of Two". "Two of Two" is the next video. Then you will see it finished.

@GoldenRatio7 It is a "ClayShaper" and that was a cone tip size "zero". They come in different sizes and different tip shapes depending on what you need. Just use small sizes for small jobs and big ones for big jobs. I've knocked the small tip of a clay shaper trying to move a big hunk of clay. Not happy. Do check my site under "Man and Beast" for polymer clay sculpting tutorials.

Is that just a regular brush or some special tool for molding ?
By the way...GREAT job ! -)

@Vanjal Thank you for the kind words. The tool is called a "clayshaper" and that one is a cone tipped "zero" size. The tip is made of silicon so it is flexible. Of all the tools I have the clayshapers are my most used. I have larger ones to move bigger masses of clay around, medium sized ones to get general outlines, the smaller ones for detail. They are great for getting rid of fingerprints.
