Chilli con carne is the perfect comfort food. It's warming, tasty and a little bit spicy! The best thing is it's individual, everyone's chilli is different!

Our recipe uses some of Louis Barnett's dark chocolate, and a good splash of beer to make it as rich and sumptuous as can be imagined!

So hmmm, I take it that you don't have to add the chocolate if you don't want to? :P

It looks good, but I'd be making for about 6 people. Should I just double everything in the recipe?

You can eat it earlier, but to be honest all the flavour comes out over time, so it's best to cook it longer if you can!

Could you do any ask the chef/ Cooking skills video on chocolate please? Like how to melt properly, prepare, and also tempering. Cause I've heard about it but have no idea how you're supposed to do it.

'con carne' means 'with meat'?! Well, blow me down, I did not know that.

Why isn't Tom in the videos anymore? Is it because he lacks personality?

Beer falls into two categories, ales and lager. The difference is the yeast that is used to create the alcohol. You can use any kind of beer, but I would avoid a beer with too strong of a flavor as it can through your dish off. Any middle of the road beer will be fine.

Ale is a kind of beer. I think whether a beer is an ale depends on its fermentation process and the ingredients that go in it. If I'm not mistaken, ales are usually darker in colour and flatter.

By Ale. Do you mean a strong beer or something along those lines? English is not my native language, so I'm a little confused as it can mean many different things to me.
