The Thomas Hill Standpipe featured in Stephen King's novel "It."
"I'm not going anywhere near it," ::::shiver::: ,referring to the door to the standpipe from "It." ("It leads to where the monster lives!")
The water tower atop a hill in a park looks like a fortress, with its granite base and a battlement-like observatory.
So, while shooting photos I turn to my husband and ask, "Babe, if a maniacal red-haired clown comes out of there —you'll save me, right?"
Larry replied, "'that depends."
me- "on what?"
"can you keep up?" he said.
ha ha. Who said chivalry is dead?
