The cat snake, boiga forsteni, is a large rear fanged, mildly venomous species in Sri Lanka. It is thought to be harmless, but due to its size it should be handled with caution.
@TheWoltCanada -Thank you for the feedback. We're working on a book, The Venomous Snakes of Sri Lanka, but it won't be ready for a couple of years. Just starting the preliminary research and one of the co-authors is finishing a book on the mammals of Sri Lanka.
Good information, do you have any published papers, or secondary literature?
