The B-52 on a low level insertion would turn it's tail to the blast and run like Hell. If possible it would duck behind those mountains, anything to get away from the initial blast. B-52s of the era were the naturla aluminum color to reflect some of the flash
from the blast.

I kinda doubt the plane made it out of the area in time. I don't know the speed of the bomb run, but if they were doing 500 knots, that would only get them a couple of miles out (presuming the time from drop to impact was real time...16 seconds)...not far enough given the size of the bomb. The Enola Gay was 11 miles from Hiroshima and still got knocked around pretty good...plus they were at higher altitude and undamaged, unlike Maj. Kong's plane.
