In October 2010, I was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to compose and perform the score for "Jonathan Kruk's Legend" (a one-man retelling of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" staged in the actual Old Dutch Church named in the story). This was my first and, thus far only, chance to write and perform on a pipe organ.

In this video I'm playing "Welcome To Sleepy Hollow", the overture I wrote for the show, on a Yamaha EL-7 that I bought on eBay and then heavily modified. The organ you hear is the Hauptwerk virtual pipe organ (St. Ann's Mosely).

Enjoy!

  • Great job!

  • Congratulations! A few years ago I was surprised to learn there was, in fact, a real Sleepy Hollow.

  • Love the tone! perfect!

  • Beautiful, but also mysterious and a bit scary, like Sleepy Hollow at midnight. Sounds to me like a great way to introduce the story.

  • Awesome!!!!!
