  • Hi, Emma, wow you are truly amazing. I just love your tone and how you are so in to the music! :) I have a few questions that I hope you can answer, How do you tougue so fast and make each of your notes so clear, and also how do you play the high notes so gracefully and the low notes so rich ? thank youuu, and I hope you'll get better and better

  • @5teeheehee Hi, Thanks!!! For tonguing I try to only tongue enough to ping the note but focus mostly on the air. Don't let your tongue stop the air. For high and low notes I do the opposite of what most people do. For low notes I use a ton of strong air and for high notes I use a tiny laser point of air. Alot of people argue with me about that but it's what I do, it works for me. Let me know how it goes!!! Have fun playing your flute!!!

  • @TheMagicFlutist The way I think about embouchure is that mine is bouncy. It's whatever it needs to be to make the note sound the way I want it, so it changes all the time. But I think everyone has their own way of doing stuff so you should do what works best for you!!! --Emma

  • @GeoRockMin Do you use the "smiling" embouchure.

  • @flowerpower576 Yah, Stuff happens in live shows. But I'm happy it went great!!!

    Yeah!!! --Emma

  • @GeoRockMin sorry i took so long to reply, i did my solo a couple weeks ago, and it went really well! my vibrato has improved a lot since then. unfortunatly our student conductor didn't cue the rest of the band, so at one part it was obvious we weren't playing together, but what can you do about that?

  • WOw....you are so amazing......keeping up!!!

  • I don't think my bottom lip is much in front of the top one. I just think more about keeping good contact with the lip plate and keeping my lips loose and bouncy.

  • Hi, Emma!

Well the bottom lip is supposed to be infront of the front lip.. Thats the trouble!

How do you do your embouchure?/

    --Haelin

  • Hi Haelin, I'll try, but embouchure is alot of different things. What are you having a problem with??
