Riding the Chinese Jinlun 125cc.
Its quite a cool looking, cool riding low down bike, the road handling and braking is excellent and is a pleasure to ride.

This video though is before I put on the 17 tooth front sprocket and heavy duty triple 'S 'chain upgrade. As the bike now rides a lot faster in 1st-2nd-3rd and 4th whilst 5th has slightly suffered with acceleration but is now more of a low rev cruiser gear..this gives better miles per gallon now, about 90-100mpg depending on how I ride it.

  • Nice! I'm thinking of buying a bike like this, although it will be my first after I pass my C.B.T , would that be okay or do I want to look at somethnig more scooter like? what tips are there for riding a bike like that?

  • Well if you are interested in riding a proper big bike at a later date then the Jinlun is a great step in that direction. It handles like a full sized machine as its quite a big bike for a 125 and it will teach you all the fundementals of riding a decent bike.

If you go onto scooters then I consider that to be ok but perhaps a wasted oppurtunity.

Good look on your CBT and safe riding for always.

  • buy a real bike...

  • What would you suggest for learner riders as a real bike !

    Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R pehaps !

  • beginer? get honda varadero 125cc. comfy, economic, big and nice ride mate:)

  • @IIChristian89II Mine does around 40mph up a reaaaally steep hill

  • how does it manage getting up steep hills lol i had a junlun scooter a long time ago that would manage about 15 mph uphill lol

  • @depoty well.. i still like the looks of this bike. but to answer your question on his behalf either a honda shadow or a yamaha dragstar :) ( for 125 anyways ) ride safe

  • Seems really slow. Is that really how fast it is or is it just the camera? I'm talking about acceleration by the way.

  • @TheKnightsShield saying that is a bit like saying japanese cars like honda cant be MOT'd. So no, it isnt true lol :)

  • hola , que le pasa a mi moto , no corre, no tiene potencia , la acabo de comprar, dime algo por favor. gracias

  • Whats the fuel consumption like on one of these 125 cruisers?

I'm sixteen and my godfathers shipping one over from germany for me this year, so i wont be very high on cash.

Also, will i have to re register it?

Im in ireland and its registered in germany.

  • I've heard that it's difficult to find an MOT centre that'll do an MOT because it's a Chinese bike, is that true?

  • @tnerual888

i agree with that , these are crappy PLASTIC bikes its a waste of money those jins
