It's that two-chip, four-speaker Voyager again, this time being used as a test-bed for my two-chip Pendolino sound project. Upon arrival you hear the passenger door opening and closing sequence (on one function key; press on to open, press off to close). After the driver has stretched his legs he jumps back in and slams the door before cleaning his windscreen with the noisy washer jet. The platform staff sound the despatch whistle and the guard gives the driver the right-away. The driver gives you a quick demo of the four different horns (two in each direction) before departure. Despatch whistle, horns, driver's door slam and right-away all change ends when the set changes direction. 'Common' sounds like the passenger doors come from both ends regardless of direction. The project also includes the simulated neutral section featured in one of my other videos (as do all my electric sound projects). Send me a message if you're interested in bespoke DCC sound in your loco.

  • They are etched brass kits made by N Brass Locomotives. More details in the comments below the video.

  • You are right, it is a Voyager. If you read all the comments below you'll see why!

  • Yes, the Pendolino sounds are available on a chip for OO, just send me a PM.

  • Yes - the ones in my video are OO gauge!

  • The catenary is built from the kit by N Brass Locomotives which are available as two- and four-track versions. These are their 'light' portals, they also do the 'heavy' versions.

  • I think you're right, in fact I was fully expecting another 'it's not a Pendolino it's a Voyager' comment. Thanks for taking the time to read them. Bif

  • @smiles2721 You don't say. That's why it says TEST BED in the title, it's fully explained in the description, and it's already been explained in response to an earlier comment. Now who's the idiot?
