Status quo continues to invest your tax dollars into speculative real estate purchases in hopes of luring corporate chains, through incentives and abatements, to DeKalb to compete with existing businesses. Incentives are asked for because those corporations are attracted to DeKalb on the come, or on projections of population growth to meet their market share.

What if the growth doesnt come? DeKalb does not have the population to support saturation of any goods or services. There is some evidence to suggest that DeKalb does not have the population to support the businesses already here. Status quo could cost local business owners and operators their livelihood.

DeKalb can do better. The best choice is Lynn Fazekas for Mayor of DeKalb. Watch the video above to see a new approach to economic development in DeKalb. Status quo has got to go.
