Scary? Most of the teenagers in north-east Philly partied there. The only thing scary was the tons of broken beer bottles

my old teenage hangout. and the other complex that was torn down first on the other side of the boulevard. awesome... but dangerous? only if you were so drunk you effed yourself up. but to those who dont know it can look scary... good times that's for damn sure!!

They are hyping this up way too hard. I went to Byberry plenty of times and never feared for my life...afraid of getting arrested thats a different story.
I miss Byberry, wish I got to go there one last time before they tore it down.

Fair enough, but how else would you define "hype"? Watch it again - you never went there with a camera crew and had to walk through the flooded Underdark, or were inside when the place was on fire. Or, if you have, make a video and hype away! :)

We met a LOT of people while there...one group liked setting fires. We put out a few of them, but when the smoke started filling up the halls, we knew we didn't get to all of them. But, that's what urban exploration is about - handling everything they throw at us and getting out in one piece.
