this is not a rule,you do the surgery and you end up with a deeper vice , his voice is deeper now because he smokes a lot and because he is 20,not 17,but,in any case,the surgery didn't affected his voice at all !
in fact,he can sing the old songs perfectly,even better than 3 years ago,his voice is the same...
don't say craps if you are not informed enogh !

but he had to have surgery on his vocal cords he had a cyst on one of his vocal cords that was making it swell up, it had to be surgically removed. It happned in middle of the european tour which was pretty sad..concerts were cancelled..but it was also after he had finished the english CD..he had 10 days of no talking and i dont remember how long of vocal rehab but hes all good now xDD
