I didn't like that grundge sound from day one, still don't care for it. At least with bands like this you had some fun jams, minus the love ballads.

@JiffJaffa You and me both brother. It just dawned on me what grunge did to the music scene. It took ALL the fun out of it.....and most of the fun out of life right along with it. Although in 92 I was 20.

@dannywizz The problem is people like you "U" PRICK who new nothing. Have you been to a "GIG" in your life or just giving your EXPERTISE behind a fuckin Keyboard ... I've been to every MONSTERS OF ROCK (Donnington Park) since 1985 .. so whats your experience with live bands!!! Guess watching NIRVANA videos on MTV! Metallica ACDC and Maiden etc are still selling out stadia all over the world!!! PLUS Alice in Chains ..Soundgarden.. Pearl Jam.. Screaming Trees would call themselves Grunge. Why not!

I hate this "Pitbull Live in Brazil" Vevo Ads before every rock video in Vevo!!! Delete it Vevo!!! We don't want to hear house music or rap before hard rock video!

Why are there people on this talking about grunge, This bares no relevance to the characteristics of grunge music -_-
-
@dannywizz MTV directors at that time should be taken to court!

@JiffJaffa Right on Man! I still remember those good ol' days myself with long hairs, blasting real heavy metal music all days. Sadly, MTV and Nirvana killed it. Then we ended up with lame bands that sounded monotonous.
its 1992. im 16. my buddies and me cruise newton in my 88 5.0 looking for chicks. we have long hair and ripped jeans. we are the hold outs to the grunge sound taking over the radio. fast forward 20 years. im 36, married with kids and in my mind, am still cruising in that 5.0

Firehouse is not grunge everyone. Grunge was a music genre invented by MTV to make money, it killed all the good music. After that they followed up with Britney spears and Justin, Jay C and Beyonce......it is all about money.
As for me the good commercial music died around 1992 or 1994 or so. The double CD albums of Guns and Roses, Metallica and Bryan Adams were the last goodbyes of an era.
MTV and other corporates are responsible for this genocide.
