@thetoughgetgoin The lyrics in the first verse are a variation on the 1929 song "The Girl I Love She Got Long Curly Hair" by Sleepy John Estes (who has co-writer credit on the Zeppelin song). Leadbelly probably lifted them from Estes or maybe Estes nicked them from Leadbelly. Those old blues guys were hard to keep track of! :-)

@longslidenyc I'm not calling them out or hating, just saying. I was listening to an old Leadbelly record, heard him mention his woman with long black wavy hair, and said "Heeeey I've heard that on a Zepp song before!!" I'm a huge fan of both and have no problem with it, as this is what blues artists do
