NYC "You-Are-Loved" Glowlight Vigil For September's Anti-Gay Bullying Teen Suicide Victims

In the month of September, 2010, at least nine teens committed suicide, literally bullied to death. At least eight were victims of anti-gay bullying.

On Sunday, October 3, thousands converged in New York City's Washington Square Park, on the campus of New York University (NYU) despite the rain, to show their support, and tell victims of bullying, "You are loved."

@Fridaey13txhOktober definitely not, bullying is an issue for everyone and it's so prominent because people are being bullied for being gay when some of them arent even gay. The reason why the topic of "gay bullying" is everywhere is because its happening way more than any other type of bullying. Gays dont have even close to the same amount of rights as straight people and yet they are still more bullied. kicked while they're down...sorry other bullying cases arent as headlining?

Kids, teens and young adults are bullied all the time for different things. How come it's only an issue when it comes to gays? Kinda hypocritical.

Man up. You dont want to be bullied, stay in the closet. Being bullied because of race, religion or creed is wrong because you dont decide being that. But being gay?? Im sorry but thats your choice. plagued by this for far too long! I have suffered on and off, since my boyfriend
