A V6 Mustang especially the previous versions with the 4.0L (not the current 3.7) was never tuned for racing. It was also seen as a cruiser.
The engine was also a bit outdated, a V6 with 12 valves?...
It's no wonder a Civic could match the performance of a V6 rwd.
And if a modern 4cyl would perform just as well as a 12valve v6... That would just ruin the Mustang tradition.
Let's face it.. Who wants a 4cyl in a Mustang or even any or muscle car?
The 3.7 V6 is a whole different matter

@parkerboggs89 and the 95 BMW would walk all over the 03 stang.

who has the european e36 m3 in America?

@martispeed small dick

i live in the usa and i would rather buy a used bmw than a used mustang but they are too expensive. I could get a 2003 mustang for the same price of a 1995 bmw

@MegaHolymoly i was just thinking that. this is the first video ive ever seen where the guys are totally cool before and after
y do people think it gives you more traction to melt your tires. that only works with slicks. they are designed for it. yes you want your street tires hot and ready. but not melted. does not help one bit on street tires and regular ashfault.

@lifeof767 That "M3" you raced was either a clone with the 325i motor or the "M3" was toying with you. I have a 97 E36 M3 and stock I would beat my buddies 03 Mustang GT. I now have Cams, Full Intake, Full Ehaust, Tuned, Racing clutch, Flywheel and Pressure Plate. Also a short throw shifter. A V6 mustang is in the same speed class as a Civic. Don't try and lie about your V6 Mustang you make yourself look like an idiot. Check out some of my Vids you will see what an M3 can do!
