  • Baclofen can be abused by some ppl. It is known to cause vivid closed eyed hallucinations and DXM like effect in some people esp in higher dosage. Not everyone responds to Baclofen well.It can be freaky and scary. To be safeu need a baclofen test and maybe a sitter when when ur body is adjusting. Usually these effect dimish fairly quickly. If not ,quit the bacs. Do not take more than than prescribed.

  • But i guess if used right it could help

  • they gave me baclofen for cocaine urges and opiate withdrawal. Also klonopin and subutex. Now im just addicted to these pills! When i have ashitty day i just pop mad baclofen, mix it with diphenhydramine and my klonopin, and subutex an just nod off!

  • I use it when I have opiate cravings. I have been off the Fentanyl patch for a month and am still weening off painkillers with Percs from my Doctor. My doctor gave me Baclofen, Valium and Clonidine. I use them before bed so I can sleep all night without waking up to cravings.

  • After more than 30 years of hard alcohol abuse with several experiences of therapy, I now found baclofen and can tell you:

    Uncredible, but: it works.

And maintaining abstinence is no more any struggle. It's just like: No need to drink, and that's it.

  • Check for :

newspaper "Le Monde" 02 july 2009 (contre l'alcoolisme le médicament interdit")

I am my self under treatment with a dose of 200 mg a day.

everything's fine. No more Alcohol craving.

    have a nice day.

  • With alcohol or other drugs, baclofene is known as a "craving supressor agent".

tested on human bodies in France with doses up to 300 mg a day. The subjects became sobber without efforts.

  • yes in france we have great results :

    go to drogues-legales

search for this site in google

the site is in dote com

  • Yes, there is a double-blind study that shows baclofen is superior to placebo for maintaining alcohol abstinence, and I've even heard it works for heroin cravings.

It basically reduces release of the neurotransmitters released when a drug-related cue is seen, as shown by this video.

There is also a study showing baclofen to be as effective as Valium for uncomplicated alcohol withdrawal. A very versatile drug indeed.
