My entry to the "Become a Guild wars 2 Ambassador" contest for Guild Wars 2. Took me a while to make and had to start again when it crashed my system with its high definition powers. Was fun to make, and good luck to everyone entering :)
I really wonder why your advertising with a sidekick system since they alreadyt anounced a few months ago they DIDN'T implement one as they have said before.
@spaceman236 I highly doubt that is true. Check the FAQs on their site "Also, to allow players the freedom to play together even if their friends are at a much higher (or lower) level, we are planning to implement a strong sidekick system, similar to that used in City of Heroes™." It's also part of how the game will work. Allowing players higher to visit low lvl content and not mess things up for other players.
@MezmaGhost A quote from the GW2W: A companion system was planned, with which a character would be able to bring an ally as an extension of their character, or, should they choose not to bring the companion, receive a buff to compensate. This feature has been removed from development.
It has been stated in interviews, but I couldnt find one this fast. I'm sorry, but there really won't be one
@spaceman236 that was a companion system, not the Sidekick system that is in place. The sidekick system is there to scale you down if you entered lower lvl areas to stop griefing. Find me an interview and I may consider your opinion. But as it stands, their website (not a wiki) still states that it has a sidekick system, and did state this at the time of submitting these video entries.

And you can invite your low lvl friend to join you in higher lvl content and it sidekicks them up to the lvl,

and yes it is still in as it's an integral part of the WvW pvp. Look for Sidekick on the GW2W for more info.
