Keep It Real: A Jonas Story, Chapter 2

Shout out to MrsNickJonaas for being my first subsciber EVER!!!!!!!!! Here's the next chapter. I'll start posting more often now. I had a pretty big gap between the intro and first chapter. I was just trying to figure out where I wanted to go with the story. But I think I got it now. :)

(AN. btw, * * is what the person is thinking, and ( ) is what the person is doing. it will make sense once you read the story.)

Alexa walks into Pinkberry. There's no one else there besides 2 employees talking behind the counter, one boy and one girl. They both look in their early twenties. The girl notices Alexa first, and turns her attention towards her. Then the boy does the same.

Girl: Hi! What can I get for you today?
Alexa: Um, actually, I was wondering if you were hiring.
Girl: You want a job here?
Alexa: Well, yeah.
Boy: How old are you?
Alexa: Sixteen.
Girl: (talking to the boy) That guy on Nick's shift just quit, remember? The one with the red hair.
Boy: Oh! You mean, um..... I forgot his name.
Girl: Wow. Some manager you are. (laughs)
Alexa gets a little nervous when she hears that. If he's the manager, he would be deciding if she got the job.
Boy: Hey! I can't remember everyone's name.
Girl: You remember my name. (smiles and looks at him with flirty eyes)
Boy: Oh I think you know why I remember your name.
Girl: (giggles)
Alexa: (notices the two of them are holding hands) *Now it makes sense* (coughs to get their attention)
They both turn quickly towards Alexa.
Girl: Oh, um (clears her throat) sorry.
Alexa: That's alright. (smiles)
Boy: What hours would work for you?
Alexa:*wait a minute. he's asking what hours would work for me? does that mean I got the job?* Well I need it to be after school, so...
Boy: Oh, right.
Alexa:*i actually could work anytime, because I can rescedule when I have school, but I want to be working when people my age would come here*
Boy: How about Monday-Thursday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm?
Alexa: Yeah! That would be perfect.
Girl: I think that's exactly Nick's hours, too.
Alexa:*who's this Nick they keep talking about?* Um, sorry, but who's Nick?
Girl: Nick Jonas. You don't go to school with him?
Alexa: Uh, no. I'm homeschooled.
Girl: Oh. Well he's your age and he works here. I know him because his shift is right after mine, so I always have to wait for him to get here before I leave. He's a cool guy, you'll have fun working with him.
Alexa: So... does that mean I got the job?
Boy: You'll start tomorrow. Just fill out this form realy quick and then you can go.
Alexa: (fills out the form he gave her then hands it back) I'm Alexa, by the way.
Girl: Oh, right! Sorry. I'm Dianne. I guess I'll be seeing you a lot, now.
Alexa: Yeah, I guess so.
Guy: I'm Jake. And I'm also your manager. (smiles) But don't let that scare you.
Alexa: (laughs) Yeah, ok. *they seem really nice* I hope you don't mind me asking, but how old are you?
Jake: I'm 23.
Dianne: I'm 21. And, hey, we asked how old you are. (smiles)
Alexa: (giggles) True. Well, I should probably go home, but I'll see you tomorrow, right?
Dianne: Yup.
Jake: 3:00.
Alexa: Ok. Thanks for the job, really. See ya!
Dianne/Jake: Bye.

Alexa walks home, so happy that she actually got the job she wanted. She can't wait to tell her sisters and her dad, too, hoping he'll be proud of her. She also thinks about this Nick guy, hoping they will get along, because they'll be spending a lot of time together.
