Captain might have needed a few extra landings for currency. :) Truth is that once those giant spoilers come out the plane isn't going anywhere but on the mains. They help make ugly landings nicer. Now you want to see some bounces you should see some of my landings when I had the Aeronca.

@stevenaviator I just flew to Dublin airport from Luton with Ryanair, and I can tell you I had the same experience as you. The landing was completely unacceptable lol. The aircraft actually bounced up after the initial touchdown. I thought that was bad, but on my return to Luton Airport the landing was worse! The landing only looks normal because the video makes it out that way. I think Ryanair employ the worst pilots, or maybe we've had the same pilots on our flights lool....

It didn't jump, the springs/shocks on the landing gear just first retracted and then extended again.
