  • Hello TanDao. Im interested in learning on fighting with my palms, i have some questions though if you wouldnt mind asnwering. First question, is the damage inflicted when you hit somewhere with your palm stronger than your fist/knuckles? And why? Second question, what can i do to harden my palms Thanks for your time, im patiently waiting for an answer. Thanks again.

  • @MrChannel5news

Properly executed against the proper target the palm is devastating. It is safer than a fist but more difficult to master. Bareknuckles are prone to injury to hands and knuckles but is more practical.

Use an iron sand bag - as I demonstrate in my TanDao Tiger Claw video and Tiger Combat e-book. Good luck.

  • @TanDaoKungFu Thank you, Master Tan, and yes i'm practicing martial arts but, i want to become one with my self and get in touch with my inner spirit, and master myself first but don't know how, any tips?? how did you master yourself??

  • @Jujumypit2008

Who said I mastered myself? lol l' m still working on it.

mastering oneself is an ideal Evolving Martial Artst aspire to. It is a life long process and requires seeking outside martial arts. Read wisdom literature of different cultures to prepare your mind as you discipline yourself through martial arts. Over time you may realize for yourself the connection of inner spirit and advanced martial arts.

  • @Cha0sB1k3r look no further for devistating punches then Bruce Lee

  • SHANG TSUNG IS ALIVE!

  • @MrChannel5news TanDaoKungFu is right, a more direct answer to your question is a resounding maybe

If you condition or practice your palm strikes, they get stronger and stronger, and they are quite devastating, there's also less chance of your palm breaking unlike knuckles.

Although this concept goes to all striking weapons. If you condition your knuckles and practice your punching+energy flow, you're punches will become devastating.

As for conditioning? Palm strike everything. Sandbag works too

  • Thank you sir. I generally use palm strikes the same way I use punches. This opened up a new perspective to the attack (with the angles etc).

  • screw chuck norris, this guys the man. he has an awesome beard too

  • @TanDaoKungFu ok i'll do that, thank you =).
