A hospital official says a school assistant principal has become the first New York City death linked to the swine flu virus. He had been sick for nearly a week before his school was closed on Thursday. (May 17)
Shit why do we need meat for? I've been vegan for years and all of my labs are perfect. You can live off a meatless diet for one's entire life and be perfectly healthy. I can see eating insects though since we kills tons of bugs with pesticides anyway-that's perfectly good meat wasted. I've been to insect restaurants and the fried termites (fried in vegetable oil) tasted like pineapple. But don't expect me to prepare bugs-they give me the heebee geebies :-)
I will have to check that out...I can definitely see the point. I know we may not see it in our lifetime, but I bet if humans survive long enough without killing each other, we will move away from such practices and begin to eat veggies & beans. Or perhaps synthetic meat via nanotechnology. I know sounds scary but it is in the works.
I have to admit I contribute to the problem as I do eat my share of meat. Primarily poultry, fish & seafood but I do eat a steak every know and then.
The Huffington Post journalist wrote Mexican Lawmakers even testified that farm factories are breeding grounds for swine flu. Think about it-they are stressed, given antibiotics DAILY to keep them alive in shit and piss, highly STRESSED, immune compromised from the stress and injuries of overcrowding and man handling-viral infections are HIGHLY likely to spread. One gets it-they ALL get it. MRSA was also grown from swabbing raw pork and chicken-you can get MRSA just by touching raw meat.
Actually every single source of BIRD and SWINE flu was in fact traced on farm factories. The CDC itself--A new swine flu virus was discovered on that factory farm, a human-pig hybrid virus that had picked up three human flu genes. Look it up on google.
It's really amazes me that the meat industry has so much power-more power than the president-that they want to COVER UP the fact these came from farm factory cruelty-they want to obliterate the word "swine" and call it H1N1. I call a spade a spade. These came from pigs and farm factory cruelty. HUMANS and their greed and lust for meat has done this. Deny it all you want-but the truth is the truth.
You really can't blame Mexico on this. This swine/bird flu mutation could have happened ANYWHERE because farm factory cruelty happens everywhere. This year alone, in the United States, two farm factories with chickens were destroyed due to the bird flu. Like any flu-it goes all around the world via international travellers. It already spread everywhere so "Mexico" is really a moot point. Don't blame Mexico: Blame our farm factory cruelty methods-these animal live in pure filth, overcrowded, pain
Close damn IS 237 !!!!!!! 280 students were absent today!!!!! I want to stay home :)

I understand and agree with your dislike for our "farm factory cruelty" but is there really true science that supports your claims?
I agree we should not be blaming Mexico...They should be praised for alerting the world once they discovered the problem.
It is simple minded right wing nuts who like to blame everything on Mexico.
