In 2002, former chief international correspondent of CNN Christiane Amanpour came to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to interview expats living in the Kingdom (particularly those living in and working for Saudi Aramco—the world's largest oil company).

  • Gosh, that was almost 10 years ago! Hard to believe.

  • As a child living there in the '90s I used to play outside of my home everyday. Here, in California, you have to be weary of you child's safety. Overthere, my family used to interact with their friends almost everyday. Here, it is far from being close. So, in a way I do miss the lifestyle of Dhahran despite post-9/11.
