  • so if i decided to do this on a recent laptop with vista, it would still come out looking pixely? is that a compression problem?

im only just starting to look into this stuff so im a relative noob. my pc meets basic requirement for the basic.

  • @lachlunn It's compression problem. I was probably using divx 3.11 codec with strong compression so I could upoladed it quite fast.

You don't need to have strong pc for simple animation (this animation is simple ) so go ahead and have fun with that programm

  • i dont have bryce yet. im jucking out what its capable of. is there different formats you can save your animations as to make it look more realistic. i noticed thing one looks really good but when the camera moves it looks kinda of "noisy". can u make it look more smooth?

  • in output renedring you can make it more realistic, but one frame can be render up to few hours. 1frame x 24 is one second of animation, my video is 150 seconds. so 24 frames x 150 sec = 3600 frames, so it might take up to 3600 hours of rendering if i'd setup it to realistic mode!

But camera is something I've always had problems with. I just can't make it more smooth.

  • OMG! Does rendering take so long, and is it because of your computer power, or is that just normal time it takes to render?

If I have 4 cores do you think it will come out faster and smoother?

  • I think it's normal for bryce to render so long . I don;t think that bryce supports more than one core. Maybe Bryce 6 or later. I dont know

  • @beck1983 Bryce 6 and 7 supports more cores.i have 6 and it goes way faster, you just have to set to high priority in render options.

  • only thing im sorry is that is poor quality :) and many videos which are CGI get little atention, ppl dont see effort and finally time to render which is spend in few minutes of video

  • is that gladitor

  • I find the camera in this film to be pretty smooth.
